Basic Relationship

OVERVIEW:
Out of 5 cards, 2 are Wands, 2 are Cups, and 1 is Major Arcana. The even number of Wands and Cups suggest a friction between drive (Wands) and emotion (Cups).
CARD 1: You (how you are feeling inside)
Knight of WandsKnight of Wands: This card refers to a person you know, an aspect of your own personality, or even an event. It represents somebody who is bold, loud, and sometimes reckless. They generally charge into situations without weighing out the consequences. But it is a card of movement and action, passionate change. Sometimes it feels liberating to be rash and take risks. You are feeling adventurous and daring.
CARD 2: Them (how the other person is feeling inside)
5 of Wands 5 of Wands: This is a card of tension and competition - sometimes friendly, sometimes not. Too much of it can be stressful and draining, but just the right amount can be invigorating. The person you are asking about may be facing some conflict, either inside themselves or in their environment. Perhaps they are trying to counter-balance the influence of your Knight of Wands. Remember there is a fine line between them feeling stimulated and feeling irritated.
CARD 3: You Towards Them (your feelings about the other person)
10 of Cups 10 of Cups: This is a card of loving families, interpersonal harmony, and personal fulfillment. There is the sense that as long as you have each other, everything else will work itself out. You are investing all your hopes for a happily ever after into the person you are asking about. This is somebody you want to marry and have a family with.
CARD 4: Them Towards You (the other person's feelings about you)
4 of Cups 4 of Cups: This is a card of contemplation. At best, it represents caution and a detached analysis of the options available to the person. But it can also mean taking so long to over-analyze every detail that opportunities pass by without being acted upon. In that case, it can mean a disconnection from emotions and dissatisfaction with life. This is not somebody who counts their chicks before they hatch.
CARD 5: The Connection (what binds you together or pulls you apart)
The Sun THE SUN: This is a very positive card of joy, celebration, and optimism. Whatever the circumstances, this couple stays together and the outlook is bright. The relationship brings much success to both parties, and there is a mutual consensus that they will continue along the same path.
SYNTHESIS:
The theme here is a friction that fans the flames of passion. Both cards representing you as individuals are of the suit of Wands, which means you both have intense personalities and find a competitive environment quite nurturing to your restless spirits. Both cards representing the your thoughts about each other are of the suit of Cups, which means that there is definite emotion flowing between you two - this is a romantic relationship. If the presence of The Sun as a force that binds you together isn't positive enough, the fact that this is a Major Arcana card is all the more important. It shows that this relationship did not come about by chance. It is destined for a long, dedicated, and prosperous future. You complement and drive each other to new heights!
