Past - Present - Future

OVERVIEW:
Out of 3 cards, 2 are Swords and 1 is Cups. The theme is of the mind (Swords) manifesting desire (Cups).
CARD 1: The Present (from which we can see behind us and before us)
Ace of CupsAce of Cups: This is a card overflowing with emotions. It is the spark of inspiration that drives love, creativity, and psychic gifts. It could mean the beginning of a relationship, the rekindling of feelings, a passionate dedication to a cause, or the motivation to follow our hearts. It is a time when emotions flower, and provides the compassion through which old wounds can heal.
CARD 2: The Past (where the root of the issue lies)
Ace of Swords Ace of Swords: This card is the triumph of the intellect. It is strength in adversity. A metaphorical sword to defend yourself in a difficult situation. It means victory in debate and mastery of words. It is new ideas and finding solutions to a problem. It is clear, rational thought. Actions carried out with impeccable timing. Strength, willpower, and courage.
CARD 3: The Future (if we stay the course)
Knight of Swords Knight of Swords: This card refers either to a person you know, an aspect of your own personality, or even an event. This Knight is not one that likes to beat around the bush. He is brave, bold, and often ruthless in his methods. He will charge onto the scene, seize what he wants, and not concern himself with those who get trampled along the way. His energy is very volatile so you must be careful how you use it. When properly channeled, he is strong enough to overcome any obstacle and is a valiant champion for a good cause. When his powers are misdirected, he can be violent and cruel.
SYNTHESIS:
This is a case of a strong emotional desire framed and tempered by rational thought. The two aces represent new beginnings and a balance between mind and heart. The recent past brought a new, innovative idea that you have given a lot of thought to. This has blossomed into a passionate, creative drive to bring it into existence. In the near future, these two will come together and you ride forward as the Knight of Swords. You hold the original idea in your hands as a sword to cut through your opposition and bring your plans to fruition, but your motivation to do so is fueled by the heart. Few things can stop the forceful advent of the Knight of Swords, but while you single-mindedly pursue your goal, take care not to step on too many toes or ruin relationships. Make sure the world you create is a place you still want to live in once the adrenaline is gone.
